Caritas Salzburg
The Caritas organisation of the archdiocese Salzburg is an emergency service and a social services provider. It is a part of the Catholic church and is active locally and internationally. Caritas Salzburg encompasses the state of Salzburg and parts of Tyrol (Tyrolean lowlands). First and foremost, Caritas is there for people whose "life in dignity" is severely threatened by poverty, exclusion, life crisis in old age and at the end of one's life, in crisis regions, and underprivileged countries. Caritas offers aid regardless of religion, ideology, nationality, race and whether the emergency situation was self-inflicted or external.
Caritas Vienna
The food buses are on the go 365 days a year. Every evening, including weekends and public holidays, Caritas' two food buses Canisi and Francesco are out and about in Vienna distributing hot soup and bread to the people. For many of the 150 to 300 daily guests, this is the only hot meal of the day. In 2011, around 68,000 bowls of soup were served. Help us provide a hot meal.

The staff and the voluntary workers prepare the food. Some of these workers take over the driving service pick up and cater the foods. Therefore the additional purchase for the daily requirement is limited. Nevertheless we have to spend at least 60.000€ of the donations for the purchase of food products every year.
You can visit the websites of the organisations directly and make your donation there. Our main aim is to inform you and this is very close to our heart. As we are aware of the time-consuming aspect of research and we want to make it easier for you to get informed, we often collect information for days or even weeks.
The organisations we donate to are not responsible for the content of this t-shirt/ design. The content does not necessarily reflect their opinion.
About the theme:
We want these designs to take on the role of a snapshot in time representing the 21st century and showing what is going on.
How did we come up with the idea to design flags?
One morning, we realised that we can organise our own day relatively well - quite in contrast to the soldiers. While we master our daily life, the soldiers of many nations often don't know whether or not they will return to their base safely. We especially want to honour the soldiers for their service, as they are ready to give their life and take a loss for the safety of our country and their country of deployment.
- That's what we want to express with this T-shirt.
- This message is true for all flags and all nations which stand up for peace.
Info
The Bundesheer is the Republic of Austria's military force. According to article 79, paragraph 1 of the federal constitutional law, its duty is the military defence of the country. It consists of 35,000 serving members made up of professional and conscripted soldiers and around 30,000 militia. Their equipment includes around 9,000 vehicles and 150 aircraft. As a landlocked country, Austria does not possess a navy. Since 1955, the army has conducted several military interventions for direct protection of their borders (Hungary in 1956, Czechoslovakia in 1968, Yugoslavia in 1991). Since 1960, the army has taken part in foreign missions for the UN. Since 1995, they have been members of the NATO partnership for peace. Whether securing peace, humanitarian aid or disaster relief: The Austrian Bundesheer also helps abroad wherever it can. Every day, hundreds of soldiers serve for peace. Every year it amounts to thousands.

Austrian Bundesheer 2015
Tasks of the Austrian Armed Forces (Bundesheer)
The primary objective of the Austrian Armed Forces is the military defence of Austria. This is conducted on the principles of a militia system.
Other tasks include defending constitutional institutions, preserving law and order and providing humanitarian aid in case of natural catastrophes. Because of Austria's membership in the United Nations, the European Union and the Partnership for Peace (PfP) Program, foreign assignments have notably increased in importance.
